He Will Fight For You - Morning Musing Over Coffee

The Lord will fight for you,  you need only to be still. Exodus 14:14

For a long time this has been one of my favorite verses. It kept me grounded and at peace, knowing I could rest in the fact that He was fighting my battles for me and that I could rest in assurance of His victory. But recently I realized there are several other verses that say the same thing. To me this is simply confirmation of God's desire to care for us and demonstrate how much He loves us and wants us to know He is on our side. It's in His very nature to fight for us.

The Lord your God, who is going before you, will fight for you, as He did for you in Egypt, before your very eyes, and in the wilderness. There you saw how the Lord your God carried you, as a Father carried His son, all the way you went until you reached this place. Deuteronomy 1:30-31

Do not be afraid of them, the Lord your God Himself will fight for you. Deuteronomy 3:22

For the Lord your God is the One who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory . Deuteronomy 20:4

One of you routs a thousand because the Lord your God fights for you, just as He promised. Joshua 23:10
