This reminder is so good for me when I have questions. It's a bit of a checkpoint for me. Whose concens do I really have in mind? There are huge benefits to following Jesus but I also have to realize that it's not all about me but the greater concerns of Heaven.
For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me and for the gospel will save it. Mark 8:35
In the end we will lose our life, one way or another, but when we lose it for God, when we give of ourselves for the good of His Kingdom, we still gain the ultimate treasure. We get to be partners in the greatest true story of all time - God's story, a story that spans all eternity, past, present and future.
