Living His Purpose

The thief's purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life. John 10:10

  This is one of my favorite verses in the whole Bible! The thief, Satan, so badly wants to destroy God's creation. We were created in God's image and Satan hates God, therefore he  hates us. But the very reason Satan hates God is the reason we can live in confidence. Jesus has already won the victory over Satan and bestowed that same victory on all of us who are the children of God through Jesus. So we know that we do not have to fear Satan and his little games and attempts to destroy our lives. Instead we move forward in Christ into rich and satisfying life both here on earth and through eternity. What a beautiful promise of life!!!!
  I have seen the attempts of Satan to steal, kill and destroy. But I am also seeing God be faithful to His promise of a rich and satisfying life. It is my privilege through this blog to share some of this journey with you. Those who know me well know firsthand some of the intense struggles my family and I have been through. For those who are not familiar with my story I will simply say the enemy truly has tried to bring destruction - in relationships, spiritually, emotionally, financially, physically -  really in almost every area of our lives. And yet I am seeing God daily do amazing work in healing, restoration, provision and hope. I will be sharing bits and pieces here and there as I write but there are also some things that are not my story to tell even though they had a huge effect on me.
  My prayer is that as I share my own journey you will be encouraged in yours as well and that you will share some of that journey with us here. There is so much power in a community sharing and celebrating what God is doing in our lives.
