About

Hi! My name is Rose and this is my little space on the web. I hope you enjoy your time here and I'm so excited about connecting with readers as well as reading what others share. I have three kids and work as a personal care assistant for two kids with autism. I enjoy reading, writing, spending time with my family, gardening, and my job. I am blessed with a truly abundant life.

Austin is my oldest. He is 20 years old and currently keeps our home running  smoothly, keeping up with the whatever needs to be done inside or out - from taking care of our various pets to laundry, cooking, housecleaning or whatever else needs to be done. However by the middle of June he will be taking on a new venture, heading off to Woodrow Wilson Job Training Center and preparing to enter the work force. He's very excited about this opportunity and I am happy for him. Austin also has a keen interest in rocks, minerals, gems, and fossils and is a member of the Shenandoah Valley Gem and Mineral Society.

Amanda is 18 and works full time in a small daycare with kids ages infant through five years old. She absolutely loves her job and the challenges and joys it brings each day. She also loves animals and is the motivater behind the small menagerie of pets we have at our house. She is an avid reader and reads on a wide range of topics including child development, psychology, home economics, true crime, novels, and religion.

Michael is the youngest. He is 10 years old but can't wait to be a teenager. He loves anything involving technology or wheels. He also loves to help cook and is a great organizer and cleaner. He is very fascinated with the "old times" and loves to watch Little House on the Prairie.

I work as a Personal Care Assistant for two wonderful kids who have autism. The one I will likely mention most often will be referred to here as My Little Buddy. My Little Buddy just turned six. He loves to run, climb, play with small things like beads and marbles, go for long rides in the car or on the bus, and look at the "very tall trees."
